Detroit Tigers fans can feel great about their Labor Day weekend as the Tigers successfully got a 3-game series win over the Kansas City Royals, putting them at 80-58, and remaining at the top of their division.

The Tigers opened their series strong against the Royals, winning 5-3, and Dillon Dingler scored a Home Run. The next game, the Tigers fell 3-1, where the offense struggled to find a spark. Finally, the Tigers got back on track and won 5-0, getting that series sweep.

This week the Tigers head back home to take on the New York Mets, a team sitting at 73-64, and 2nd in the NL East. Overall this will be a really good series to watch, and another test for the Tigers. Hopefully they emerge victorious as the playoff season continues to approach.
