The Detroit Tigers are back in full stride after getting a 4-game series sweep over the Minnesota Twins. After going through a tough and long slump with a few bounce backs, Tiges fans weren't sure if this slump was going to be a long one with a few pauses of hope, or just a tough break in the season. Thankfully it was the 2nd of those 2, and Tigers fans can breathe a sigh of relief after that series.
The Tigers are definitely a dominant team in the MLB, no doubt. However, a big part of success is how well a team can do in the post-season. While the Tigers have had a great season and seem to be doing well as of late, one important question remains: can they hang with the big dogs? The Tigers have yet to beat a dominant team- with an opening season loss to the Dodgers, and a tough series loss to the Blue Jays, Tigers fans are questioning just how far this team can go in the playoffs. Me personally, I'm not too worried just yet, and I think this team has a great chance to do something special this postseason.
This week the Detroit Tigers are back at home to take on the Houston Astros in a 3-game series. The Astros are 69-55, so this will be an interesting series for the Tigers. I think we are in for a fun matchup, and hopefully the Tigers can continue to ride that wave of momentum to get another series sweep. That's a wrap on today's article, and make sure to check out my podcast Detroit VS the NFL to hear my thoughts on the Lions 3rd pre-season game against the Dolphins, and much more!
