The Detroit Tigers are at home this week to take on the Minnesota Twins, who currently sit at 53-60, and 3rd in the AL Central. Divisional series are a key piece in a team's success, and considering the recent slump the Tigers have had, winning this series is very important for Detroit.

The Tigers opened game one strong, winning with a final score of 6-3. The Tigers were showing flashes of what they once looked like, before this current period of on and off winning. Kerry Carpenter, Dillion Dingler, and Wencel Perez all got a piece of the action as they each got a home run. However, the same could not be said for game 2. The score switched on the Tigers, with them losing 6-3, and no Tiger scored a home run.

Today the Tigers are back at it with game 3, hoping to win this series, and get back in the swing of things. The Tigers are definitely out of the losing slump, but not back to what they used to be. They have struggled to stack consistent wins, and with the postseason approaching, concern is on the rise. It's not time to panic, but it's important to keep an eye on these next few series.
