The Tigers went on the road this weekend to face the Philadelphia Phillies, a solid team with a record of 63-48. Despite the Tigers winning game 2 with an impressive 7-5 final score, they ultimately ended up losing the series 2-1.

Despite the disappointing series, the Tigers had previously come off of a series sweep against the Arizona Diamondbacks. I think it's safe to say the slump the Tigers had is over, and we are seeing them return to their old form. The Phillies are a good team, and it was a well played series. Only thing that concerns me is this: can the Tigers handle teams like these in the postseason?

The Tigers are back at home this week to take on the Minnesota Twins- a team who just traded 10 of their starting 26 at the trade deadline. I know many Twins fans are shaking their heads right now, so with all due respect, I hope the Tigers can take advantage of that and pick up another series sweep!
