Detroit's on another impressive roll! Having a 3-game series at home against the Tampa bay Rays, the Tigers have won 2 of the 3 games so far. With game 3 at 5:10 tonight, the Tigers are looking to put a bow on this series, and get a back to back sweep, after sweeping the Cleveland Guardians.
Detroit has impressively won 2 of the 3 games, with the first being a final score of 5-1. This game highlighted once again Detroit's strengths on offense, as well as their pitching. The 2nd game had a final score of 4-2, with similar results in terms of the Tigers showing their strengths. Colt Kieth and Zach McKinstry both had home runs that contribute to the teams game 1 win, and the Tigers scored 3 home runs in game 2, with Zach McKinstry having another one!
Overall, the Tigers sweep tonight is going to depend on how well the team can build on momentum- it's games like these that separate good from great. It's not about sweeping the series, it's about taking your opponent seriously each game, regardless of the stats. The Tigers have yet to struggle with an issue like this in the season, so I personally am not too worried. Here's best of luck to the tigers sweeping the Rays!
