The Detroit Lions have their first pre-season game coming up next week, and with that their training camp season is underway! Unfortunately, the Lions have suffered many injuries during camp. With injuries being a main part of the Lions failure last season, many fans are concerned as to what this could mean for the Lions upcoming season.

While injuries are common during training camp due to the amount of time since the players have played football, when a key player goes down, it's definitely worrying. Terrion Arnold went down yesterday with a strained calf, while Levi Ownwuzurike will be out for the season with a torn ACL. Derrick Barnes left practice as well, but he should be ok.

Alex Anzalone, the defensive captain for the Lions, has also gone down with an unknown return date. Alim Mcneil should be back in November, and Malcolm Rodriguez should also be back in November as well. Overall, as a fan, the only injuries that concern me are Terrion Arnolds and Alex Anzalone. All the other injuries have a return date, and don't seem like they are season ending. It will be another challenge with some guys down, but I don't think anyone should be writing off the season yet.
