With the NFL draft and schedule release complete, OTA's begin for many teams. As the Lions head into camp season, it's going to be interesting to see how they treat practice and routines after a season littered with injuries. Luckily, the NFL prohibits contact during OTA season, so Lions fans shouldn't have to worry just yet about any pre-season scares. With that in mind, lets take a look at some of the kye position battles we've seen so far.

Watching some of these rookies during training camp is really exciting. The Lions drafted heavy on Offensive Line this year, and that is going to be a battle for the starting spots this year. the Lions have one of, if not the best O-line in the league, and GM Brad Holmes intends to keep it that way. Drafting Georgia guard Tate Ratledge and LSU OG Miles Frazier adds some competition between guys like Christian Mahagony and Kayode Awosika, young players that have yet to make a big splash in the league.

Another big headline that brought lots of joy to Lions fans would be the news that Aiden Hutchinson has been fully cleared to return to the NFL, and has been cleared for contact. The Lions star Edge rusher has been a key piece in Detroit's success these last few years, but his season was cut short last year due to a broken leg he suffered in Week 6. The Lions haven't added any significant depth to the Edge position, so Hutchinson is still a necessary piece to the team. However, 1st round pick Tyleik Willaims, a DT from OSU looks to add a promising buff to this D-line, something this team has needed ever since the start of the Dan Campbell era.

Overall, this Lions team is looking to get itself back on it's feet after a brutal season of injuries, and a tough playoff loss to the underdog Washington Commanders. Lions fans should have hope heading into next season, and with the way things are looking, I think we are in for a very fun ride.
