After some not-so-positive articles about the Tigers 2-week slump, the Detroit Tigers finally mustered a win against the Toronto Blue Jays, with a final score of 10-4. The Tigers lost the series, but they do stand at 61-46, first place in the AL Central, and have a wide margin over the Cleveland Guardians who are in second place.
The Tigers were finally able to fix the issues on both the hitting side of the game as well as the pitching side of the game. One thing I heard this week was that great teams like the LA Dodgers have had bad slumps. It reminded me that this isn't a major issue Tigers fans should worry about. It happens to all teams. What separates the good teams from the bad teams is how you handle it and move on.
The Tigers are back at home this week to take on a 3-game series against the Arizona Diamondbacks. The Diamondbacks currently sit at 51-55. I don't want to say this will be an easy series sweep, as the last time I said that it was quite the opposite. I do think that the Tigers win yesterday can get them back on their feet, and set a bright future ahead.
