Despite stumbling their way into the MLB Postseason, the Detroit Tigers are off to a solid start as a Wild Card team. Despite not winning a division they had control of for almost the entire season, the Tigers found their way into the playoffs, and are off to a solid start after beating the Cleveland Guardians 2-1 in game 1 on the road.
The Tigers were definitely a team with some questions heading into this series. Going up against a team who just beat them a few weeks ago and heading on the road were 2 factors that stacked the Tigers up against the odds. The Tigers however, put their head down and put in the work. Giving not only themselves but the city hopes for a series win.
Today the Tigers are back at it with game 2. Casey Mize is set to pitch, filling in for Skubal. Overall the Tigers are definitely in contention to win this series, one thing I think they need to clean up however is making sure they get guys who are on base back to home plate. They struggled a lot with that in game 1. Without Skubal today, the Guardians might take advantage of that, so being sharp at-bat is going to be a must if the Tigers plan on wrapping up this series early.

Let's hope they can get a win today in game four! Great article, as always!
